how do I delete a newer bootleg copy of xp pro to install my older xp home I
cant uninstall the xp proTo go from Pro to Home you need to do a reformat (in the XP setup this
is best done by deleting the partition and allowing XPHome to recreate
and format it), this will result in the removal of every thing on your
HDD so you will have to backup your data, email addresses etc BEFORE
you reinstall. Also make sure you have your driver disks or updated
drivers on another CD and all the software you wish to install.

The manual for your motherboard should tell you, but when turn the PC on,
have a look at the bottom of the screen for a message like 'Press X to enter
setup' - where X could be Del, F2, F3 etc.

Cold boot. Just as the black screen comes up, before the "Windows" screen
appear, press F8 repeatedly - at two-second intervals. You should then be
offered the Safe Mode choice.
If that does not work for you, click START|RUN and type "msconfig" (no
quotes) <enter>. Click the BOOT.INI tab. Checkmark the SafeBoot box.
When done with Safe Mode, UNcheck that box. Reboot.

I'm lost ,I've tried to find and Delete the huge amount of files stored by the Restore feature of Win.XP( which doesn't work anyhow) without going through the usual Restore by Disc.Is there anyone out there who also has this problem. The Restore section takes up more room than the Regular files
1.)How do I get back my space?
and 2).How do I Defeat the feature on Win.XP?BTW the Restore feature does work in XP and has saved me a lot of work

because you are doing without a great tool.
Is there any chance you think it does not work as you are expecting it
to do something other than what it does?
